Here Comes the Sun -Click Here- Note: If the Solar Site is not updating please call the District and ask for Ralph Sanchez. (661)-758-5113Semitropic has executed a contract with Shell Solar to construct a one-Megawatt (MW) Solar Generation Facility. The electricity generated will be one of a number of energy sources feeding the district’s distribution system, which powers the pumps that move water. Construction of the solar energy plant was completed in late 2004. The total construction cost is approximately $6 million, about half of which is funded through grants, lessening the financial impact on the district.
